Kaplan, LA — Three men were taken into custody after they allegedly robbed a high school student at gunpoint as he walked home from school.
Yesterday afternoon, police received a call about a robbery that took place on East Mill Street. A car had just approached the teen when the passenger hopped out and brandished a gun. He demanded his shoes, jacket and bag. The teen complied and handed over his belongings.
The investigation led to the arrest of three suspects – Martin Perez, Reilly Thurston, and Hunter Harrington.
All three men are charged with armed robbery.
Thurston, the driver, got an added charge of contributing to the delinquency of a juvenile since his child was with him when the crime was committed.
Police say the victim was not harmed in the incident.
