Social Media Helps Police Catch Man Who Brutally Beat His Wife

The Power of Social Media

Thanks to the help of concerned citizens on social media, a woman’s abusive husband is now behind bars.

Members of Ashley Davis’ family posted their plea for help on Facebook along with photos of her husband, Chris Spurlock, and her injuries. Their posts went viral off of at least two different pages, one of the posts has been shared nearly 350,000 times.

Davis’ brother informed the public that Spurlock was in the south Toledo area but believed he may have fled the state. Toledo police arrested Spurlock three days after Davis’ brother made his original post.

Much to the delight of her family, Spurlock’s bail is set at $100,000 with no 10%, according to Davis’ brother. Her family is confident that justice will be served.

Ashley is also reportedly filing for divorce.

See her account of what happened below.
