After Carolina Panthers quarterback Cam Newton took heavy fire for a sexist remark aimed at a female reporter, the Charlotte Observer’s Jourdan Rodrigue, social media sleuths unearthed some damning and tasteless remarks from Rodrigue’s Twitter timeline, including one about Cam Newton himself:

The latest development adds another layer to the story, causing what was previously a conversation about gender to clash with a conversation about race.
And at this rate, who knows if there are other skeletons in the closet that will see the light of day. Nevertheless, more fingers will surely be pointed.
In the meantime, Rodrigue took to Twitter yesterday to issue an apology of her own for the racially-charged tweets.
