These teacher/student relationships are becoming an epidemic! I think I read about a teacher having an inappropriate relationship with a student every day. What ever happened to going to school, studying, and getting on with your life? “On The Run” Now police have launched a desperate search for a high school student and a teacher who are believed to have run off together. Cops in Hattiesburg, Mississippi issued the alert on Monday for teacher Nicole Jackson. The 30-year-old is currently free on $10,000 bail on charges of sexual battery in a position of trust. She is said to be with 16-year-old Oscar O’Neal. The pair could be in a dark blue Chevy Impala with plate number FRA-4454. “If You See My Son” Oscar’s father, Oscar O’Neal Jr, took to Facebook to issue a public plea for his son’s safe return home. ‘If u see my son please contact me or my wife Lisa Oneal. We got the police involved,’ the elder O’Neal wrote. ‘His nickname is Lil Pooh but his real name is Oscar Oneal.’ Oscar is also believed to go by the nickname ‘Pooh Gotti’. Mrs. Jackson resigned from her position at the Earl Travillion Attendance Center and turned herself in to police on April 10. Authorities began investigating her in mid-March after receiving a tip that she had been conducting an inappropriate relationship with a student. She had worked with the Forrest County School District for several years, officials said. Based on her Facebook profile, the ex-teacher is married with at least one child. In Mississippi, the age of sexual consent is 16. But state law prohibits a person in a position of authority from engaging in intercourse with a person under the age of 18. Anyone with information about Oscar’s whereabouts is urged to contact The Hattiesburg Police Department at 601-545-4500.
