Disabled British Mom Verbally Attacked for Parking in Handicap Spot, Accused of Pulling ‘Race Card’

A British mother became the target of a vicious verbal assault after she parked in a disability spot.

Alexandra Bennett, 29, parked her car in a disabled spot when another driver pulled up and started verbally attacking her in front of her 10-year-old son. Little did he know, she suffers from fibromyalgia, a condition that causes severe muscle and joint pain. She attempted to reason with the enraged man, who also has a disability, but to no avail.

Because she doesn’t ‘look’ disabled, Alexandra Bennett says she has dealt with this kind of ‘abuse’ before.

A disgruntled driver pulls up alongside Bennett and begins to verbally attack her for parking in a disability spot.

At one point, the man accuses Bennett of ‘pulling the race card,’ though she makes no reference to her skin color throughout the ordeal.

According to Bennett, this is not the first time this has happened. Because she does not ‘look’ disabled, she has had a number of similar encounters with others in the past. This time, however, her young son was with her, and for that she calls the driver’s actions ‘disgusting.’

Bennett posted the story on Facebook this past Tuesday.

The post has since been shared nearly 1000 times on Facebook. People in the comments offered their support to Bennett while others shamed the man for his heartless actions.

Read a few of them below.

“I suffer from fibromyalgia as well.”

“I also don’t look like I have any disability. It is not fun having this illness. The flare ups and everything that comes along with fibromyalgia is no joke at all. It sickens me that people like this loser, heartless man can be so judgmental not knowing the situation and the reasons why you were parked there. He was totally out of line.”

“Is he drunk or does he need to see a Shrink? At the end of the day the manner was unacceptable infront of a young school child.”

The driver of the other vehicle flashed his disability badge at Bennett
